They need to get people out of the gulf coast.
Gustav is headed toward NO as a Cat 5.
It may not stay that way -- but why risk it.

Why do people get dumber when they are standing in line?
Here's an example.
I was at Subway today taking advantage of the $5 deal. Apparently so were about 50-other people. The line was long, it was at least a 15 minute wait to get to where you order.
There were two guys standing in front of me in this line, one was wearing business casual, the other was in a three piece suit.
They were having some sort of conversation I didn't pay much attention to. Not that I'm above eavesdropping, I'm not, but it seemed pretty boring.
So we're standing in line -- for at least 15 Minutes -- no bullshit.
When the 2 guys get up to the front here's how the conversation goes with the guy in the suit.
Subway Slob: What can I get you?
Business Man: Uh.... (long pause) Um.
[Everyone starts looking at this guy including his friend, we've been in line for 15 minutes. Now he can't figure out what he wants to eat?]
Business Man: (to himself) What kind of sandwiches you got here? (More Pause)
[Tension is starting to build, people at the end of the line are moaning under their breath. Literally like a minute has passed.]
Business Man: I guess I'll have a ham.
[Phew, relief]
Subway Slob: On what kind of bread?
Business Man: Um?
[Fuck]

Biden High
I thought that a good pick by Barack Obama would bring me strongly to his side.
I was wrong.
The announcement today that Obama picked Joe Biden should have made me feel better about him being the Democratic Candidate.
It didn't.
Here's a good article to show why Biden might be a bad pick --
Biden: Foot in the mouth syndrome
Plus the attack ads are already coming -- it doesn't help when you're running mate has a history of talking shit about you on national TV.
Also a good article on why Obama might not be a strong candidate
Analysis: Biden Pick Shows Lack of Confidence

Election Time
Yes it's that time of year again -- college football season.
But besides that -- we're headed into election season too.
It's hard to say "headed into" since there's been at least a year's worth of campaigning.
Now we're faced with 2 Choices -- an old and crusty John McCain and a Young and Empty Barack Obama.
Jesus.
I was really hoping this year we wouldn't be stuck choosing the less of 2 evils.
All I can say is "GO BRONCOS."
And that I'll be updating this blog at least once a week -- not that anybody cares.
